  • What is the minimum age to parasail?
We generally start flying children at age 5. There is no maximum age.
  • Can I ride along on the boat with my family, even if I am not parasailing?
If there is space on the boat, we are happy to accommodate riders at the price of $40/ per person. However, we do prioritize flyers, so if the boat fills up with parasailers, we, unfortunately, cannot take riders. You cannot reserve a spot for a rider in advance.
  • What do I need to bring?
Yourself! Possibly a towel, and a long sleeve shirt if the weather looks chilly.
  • How many people can fly at once?
We offer single, double, or triple rides, based on wind conditions and weight loads.
  • Is there a weight limit for parasails?
Parasailing is not an exact science due to weather conditions, but we generally say 450 lbs maximum in the chute.
  • Is parasailing safe?
Yes! We are a USCG inspected vessel with licensed Captain and crew. We take extra strides to train our crew to surpass industry standards. We have a 100% safety record.
  • How long will I be on the boat?
From start to finish, our boat rides typically are an hour to an hour and a half.
  • How long will I be in the air?
    10-12 minutes on average.
  • Will I get wet?
Only if you want a dip at the end of your ride! You can choose to stay completely dry- just let the Captain know!
  • Do we need a reservation?
We recommend reservations at least a day or two in advance. We do accept walk-ups if we have space on the boat.
  • What should I wear?
Bathing suits if you want to get wet. Shorts, t-shirts...anything comfortable! If it is chillier, you may want a long sleeve shirt or light jacket.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    All reservations are non-refundable.
  • What if the weather gets bad?
We constantly check the weather and ensure that conditions are safe for our flyers. If your ride is canceled by Island Parasail due to weather conditions, guests may re-book. If rebooking is not an option, we will process a refund.
  • Do I have to know how to swim?
Nope! There is no swimming required to parasail. Flyers take off and land from the back of the boat, and will be wearing life jackets provided by Island Parasail for the duration of their flight.
  • How early should we arrive?
We ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes before your scheduled reservation.
  • Where are you located?
We are on 22nd St and the bayside, right next to Fish Tales. We are in the northwest corner of the north parking lot in the blue and yellow booth with a sign that says Jet Ski Rentals on the top.
